EN 1789 CERTIFICATION FOR AMBULANCES
Greenkar Technical Service can issue a certificate of compliance for ambulances with the European standard EN 1789 based on a series of tests and verifications performed by qualified personnel, in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard. The technical staff of Greenkar Technical Service has over ten years of experience in this field and is equipped with appropriate instrumentation capable of ensuring the accuracy of test results.
Purpose of the compliance certificate:
The compliance verification, certified by GreenKar Technical Service, is necessary for Manufacturers to obtain European global type approval for the ambulance itself; it is also a requirement typically requested by Administrations or Associations to participate in national or community tenders.
What the Standard Specifies
The requirements for design, testing methods, performance and equipment specifications for ambulances used for patient transport and care. It provides requirements regarding the patient compartment and general requirements for medical devices transported in ambulances and used within them. However, it does not address requirements for vehicle type approval and registration and crew training, which is the responsibility of the competent Authorities of the Country in which the ambulance is registered.
